Diploma in Business Administration
A practical business administration course with special emphasis on Small Business Issues. Students will learn the strategies required to complete the program successfully. These include the fundamentals of computers, language, accounting and business. Students will be exposed to advanced aspects of business theory including management and finance. Students will tie in the theoretical knowledge gained with practical training for workforce preparation.
Graduates of this program have the skills and knowledge base that allow them to seek entry level positions in a wide range of businesses. This includes, but is not limited to, the corporate sector, business, hotels, health care, banking, restaurants, insurance companies, local and state government organizations and not-for-profit organizations. Students learn skills necessary to organize tasks, supervise people and resolve financial problems. They are trained to know the functions of finance, marketing and how human behavior impacts the effectiveness of an organization. Students may also use the skills learnt in this program to continue into a graduate program at any institution of higher learning.
