Personal Support Worker Program
Students will learn the strategies required to complete the program successfully. These include the fundamentals of body systems, safety and nutrition. This will further prepare them for learning advanced theory topics directly related to the tasks that a PSW encounters in practice. The shortage in PSW workers all across Canada makes this one of the most sought after programs.
Graduates of this program may seek employment in long-term health care facilities, retirement homes, hospitals, health care agencies, hospice, group homes and as independent contractors. Graduates may also upgrade their skills to become a registered nurse practitioner (RPN).
